Stuart Blum, MD
Dr. Blum attended the University of Texas where he received his Undergraduate. He subsequently attended the Southwestern Medical School and earned his Doctorate of Medicine. He completed his residency at St. Paul Medical Center and his Fellowship in the Cardiology Division at the University of Texas, Medical Branch.
He began private practice in 1987 with The Heart Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he practiced until he joined Louisiana Heart Associates in 2001. In July 2012, Dr. Blum joined CHRISTUS Cardiology Shreveport-Bossier, through the merger of his practice, Louisiana Heart Associates, with CHRISTUS Cardiology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Blum has maintained a particular interest in the challenge of diagnostics in cardiovascular disease processes. Dr. Blum is Board Certified with the American Board of Cardiology. Dr. Blum has been married to Debbie for 26 years and has one son, Spencer.
Jonathan Davis, MD
He is a graduate of Loyola College Prep in Shreveport, Louisiana and Texas A&M University in College Station. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, where he was named the "American Heart Association Student Scholar in Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke" and was given the Adrian F. Reed Memorial and the Meneely Physician Scientist awards.
Dr. Davis completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he earned the Cobbs Award for Excellence and was chosen to serve an additional year as chief resident and instructor of medicine. He completed general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center (formerly Bowman Gray) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he was selected chief cardiology fellow. He has published eight scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for the American Board of Internal Medicine Cardiovascular Medicine section.
Dr. Davis began practicing in Shreveport in 2008 and joined CHRISTUS Cardiology in 2010. His practice includes coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, PFO and other atrial septal defect closure, general cardiology, as well as transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, coronary CT angiography, and intravascular ultrasound.
He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine. Dr. Davis currently serves as Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services at CHRISTUS Health Shreveport – Bossier and is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the Shreveport Medical Society, and the Louisiana State Medical Society. Dr. Davis is married to Elizabeth Lowe Davis and has 3 children, Whit, Anderson and Kate.
John Hardin, MD
Dr. Hardin was born in Shreveport and attended Centenary College of Louisiana where he earned his undergraduate degree. He subsequently attended Louisiana State University Medical Center where he graduated with a Doctorate of Medicine.
He completed his residency at the Louisiana State University Medical Center as well as a Fellowship in Cardiology. He began private practice in Cardiology in1989.
In 2000 he formed Louisiana Heart Associates where he served as Senior physician and President. Dr. Hardin most recently joined CHRISTUS Cardiology Shreveport-Bossier in July 2010 and is Board Certified with the American Board of Cardiology.
Robert Martin, MD
Dr. Martin grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, graduating with honors from Calvary Baptist Academy.
Dr. Martin completed his residency in Internal Medicine at LSUMC, earning the Dr. James H. Campbell Memorial Award for Outstanding Intern, the Upjohn Achievement Award for Excellence in Medicine, the Outstanding Resident Award and the LSU Department of Internal Medicine Outstanding Resident Award.
Dr. Martin began private practice in July of 1996. Originally in a physician-owned private practice, he has recently relocated his practice to form CHRISTUS Cardiology in July 2011. With a focused vision for the future, he has embraced the mission statement of to "Extend the Health Ministry of Jesus Christ" with his new partners, Dr. Jonathan Davis, Dr. Stuart Blum and Dr. John Hardin. Accompanying him in his move are two of his former partners, Dr. Iqbal Singh and Dr. Paul Stafford.
Dr. Martin began practicing cardiology in Shreveport in 1996. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Martin is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow in the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. He is a member of the American Heart Association, the Louisiana State Medical Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Martin specializes in Adult Cardiovascular Disease performing both diagnostic and therapeutic coronary interventions. He is skilled at balloon angioplasty, coronary stenting, rotational atherectomy and complex catheter based coronary interventions. He performs diagnostic testing including nuclear stress testing, stress echocardiography, and transthoracic echocardiography while maintaining an active clinical practice
Dr. Martin is blessed with a precious wife and two children. He is a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church and is active in ministry there Baptist Academy. He is a Founder and Director of the Cavalier Youth Football Program where he has served since 1999. He has served as an assistant varsity football coach since 2006. He enjoys participating in family activities, coaching youth sports, high school athletics and golf.
Iqbal Singh, MD
Dr. Singh completed medical residency at the Dundee University Hospitals in 1990 and passed examinations to achieve full membership of Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 1991. He subsequently completed another medical residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1995. His cardiology fellowship program was completed in 1998 at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee where he was Chief Cardiology Fellow. Dr. Singh undertook additional fellowship training in Clinical Electrophysiology at Vanderbilt University until April 1999 when he was appointed as Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, and as the Director of Ambulatory Cardiology at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Nashville through June 2002.
Dr. Singh began practicing Cardiology in Shreveport in July 2002. He joined CHRISTUS Cardiology in June 2011. His practice includes non-invasive, non-interventional cardiology. He has a special interest in all aspects of Echocardiography including Transesophageal and Stress Echo and the clinical aspects of Electrophysiology. He is fully trained to perform and interpret Coronary CT Angiography. Dr. Singh is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Singh is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is a member of the American Heart Association, the society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and the American Society of Echocardiography.
Dr. Singh is married to Dr. Mirjana Cvetkovic and has two daughters, Elizabeth and Sophia.
Paul Stafford, MD
Dr. Stafford was born in Shreveport, Louisiana where he spent most of his childhood years. He moved to Oklahoma where he graduated from high school. Dr. Stafford attended University of Oklahoma, Louisiana State University-Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Louisiana State University-Shreveport, Louisiana for his undergraduate studies. He completed his graduate school studies at Louisiana State University Health Science Center-Shreveport LA in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Dr. Stafford graduated from medical school in 1993 from LSUHSC-Shreveport earning the Dr. James H. Campbell Memorial Award for the most outstanding intern. Dr. Stafford also completed his cardiology fellowship at LSUMC-Shreveport in 1999 and served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Stafford began practicing Cardiology in Shreveport in 1999. He joined CHRISTUS Cardiology in 2011. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Stafford is a Fellow in the American, College of Cardiology and a Fellow in the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He is a member and serves on the Board of the American Heart Association.
Dr. Stafford's practice includes adult non-invasive, invasive and interventional cardiology. He performs coronary angiography, angioplasty, stenting and pacemaker implantation and is trained in peripheral vascular disease.
His outside interests include skiing, hunting, scuba, golfing and spending time outdoors with his family.
