October 12, 2015
The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio announced today it will become the official health care sponsor of Classics Elite Soccer Academy by providing medical expertise to coaches, players, and their families. The partnership includes advice on injury prevention and will provide members with the information they need to remain healthy and active throughout their lives.
“This two-year sponsorship agreement gives The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio the opportunity to provide the Classics Elite family with access to many pediatric experts in areas such as sports medicine, orthopedics, emergency care, and Culinary Health Education for Families,” said Elias Neujahr, President of the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. “Physicians will hold seminars and health fairs to help players prevent sports-related injuries as well as know what to do if they get hurt.”
“We are excited about this new partnership with The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, the city’s first and only free-standing children’s hospital in partnership with its academic partner, Baylor College of Medicine. We’ll be able to encourage families to maintain good overall health in many unique ways,” said Brian Monaghan, General Manager for Classics Elite Soccer Academy. Classics Elite Soccer Academy is among the largest private soccer clubs in the region with players ranging in age from 4 to 18.
“We are thrilled that more than 3,000 children and teens will proudly wear The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio logo on their uniforms, shirts, and jackets at local, state, and national tournaments,” said Neujahr. “This is a win-win situation in which we can offer our services and expertise as a world-class Children’s Hospital while being represented in the community by a well-known and highly regarded soccer program.”
