Illumination of The Children's Hospital of San Antonio

On November 3, 2015, The Children's Hospital of San Antonio illuminated the exterior lights on the Hospital. The Children's Hospital of San Antonio boasts one-thousand multi-colored glass panels that light up on two sides of the Hospital every night. The panels were crafted in Germany by master artisans using high quality materials that will withstand a variety of harsh weather conditions, symbolizing a safe harbor to weather the storm of illness and injury. The colors of the panels were selected based on the mosaic design from "The Spirit of Healing"? mural by Jesse TreviƱo that adorns The Children's Hospital. The lights create a warm glow, both inside and out to comfort all who seek care within the walls of The Children's Hospital. In the center of the building, a glass lantern also lights up and represents the holy ground in which a beacon of hope rises and beckons all children who seek healing.
