Dr. Rivera received her medical degree at Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University (now Drexel School of Medicine) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her residency at New York Medical College (Westchester Medical Center/Metropolitan Hospital). Following the completion of her residency, Dr. Rivera moved to San Antonio with her husband. She served as a physician with Doctors Without Borders before establishing a private practice in 2006. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She joined CHRISTUS Women’s Health in January 2020.
As a physician, she considers listening an important therapeutic measure that helps gain a better understanding of each patient’s concerns and fears. She believes shared decision making with her patients is key to achieving a successful course of treatment.
