CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Expands Heart Care in Northeast Texas: Respected Cardiologist Added to Team April 09, 2019

Longview, Texas – CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic is combatting the threat of heart disease head on by expanding access to life-saving health care in Longview with the addition of Peter Macander, M.D., Ph.D., FSCAI, FACC to CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Cardiology team.

“Heart disease is the number one killer in this area, and across the country,” said Brandy Moore, administrative director of CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in Longview. “Dr. Macander is an experienced and talented physician who will operate on the front lines of heart care on behalf of our patients, and we are excited to have him joining the team.”

The CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Cardiology team is here to provide patients with comprehensive services for heart health, disease prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. Some of the many conditions our cardiologists treat include high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, chest pain (angina), irregular heart rhythms, high blood pressure, heart failure or heart attacks.

Dr. Macander joins the CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic team from Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita Kansas, with nearly 30 years of cardiology experience in the clinical and hospital settings. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Macander completed his undergraduate degree at Canisius College of Buffalo in New York before earning a master’s at SUNY Buffalo and both a medical degree and Ph.D. at the Medical University at 50-367 Wrocklaw, Poland. Dr. Macander is a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and a member of ACC's National Expert Advisory Panel to the FDA on cardiovascular devices and radiologic health.

CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Cardiology in Longview is conveniently located at 703 E. Marshall, Ste. 5007 in Medical Plaza II and is currently accepting patients.
