Our Mission is to promote and provide philanthropic support to fund programs and services, provide community education and ensure that access to quality healthcare services remains available to all persons regardless of ability to pay.

  • Memorials, Honorariums, A Star is Born, Grateful Patient Program, Tree of Life Endowment Program and Wings of Hope gifts are meaningful ways to pay tribute to a loved one, friend or care giver
  • The Institute for Healthy Living Scholarship Program
  • Planned giving offers tax benefits for contributions received through charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder unitrusts, charitable annuity trusts and estate planning
  • Gold Rush is the Good Shepherd Longview Guild’s annual fundraiser, which has played a vital role in the development and advancement of such services as the Heart Center, neonatal intensive care unit, Good Shepherd’s Institute for Healthy Living, The Breast Center, the Perinatology Clinic and Women’s Center, Medical Simulation Center of East Texas and Shepherd House

The Good Shepherd Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable foundation formed in 1986 to promote the improvement of regional health services by encouraging philanthropic support of the not-for-profit Good Shepherd Medical Center. All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Gold Rush

 Since 1984, Gold Rush has played a vital role in the development and advancement of such services as the Heart Center, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Perinatology Clinic and Women's Center, the Shepherd House, the Digital Mobile Mammography Service, Phase II of the Medical Simulation Center, facility improvements which support the Graduate Medical Education program and 3D Mammography Technology. 

Volunteering at Longview

The Good Shepherd Auxiliary is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to serving Good Shepherd Medical Center. The Auxiliary’s mission is to provide charitable services and support to the medical center and the community.
