(Irving, Texas – March 23, 2012) – CHRISTUS Health today announced that it has chosen a location in Irving for its new corporate headquarters.
CHRISTUS will lease One Macarthur Ridge, located at 919 Hidden Ridge in the Las Colinas area of Irving. CHRISTUS will lease approximately 210,000 square feet of space in the building to house around 1,000 CHRISTUS corporate employees (called "Associates").
"We are looking forward to bringing our CHRISTUS Associates together in the Dallas area and investing in our local communities, much as we do in the communities where our hospitals and health care centers are located," said Ernie Sadau, president and CEO of CHRISTUS Health. "We are eager to play our part as a responsible corporate citizen in this thriving business community," he said.
"We chose this building because it met many of the criteria we set for our new office, including layout, location, amenities and other benefits," said Sadau. "The building's large floor plate and open space will allow our Associates to work together more effectively and build a shared culture and community. In addition, we will be able to customize the space to reflect our heritage of compassion and healing and a legacy that extends from our founding by three brave Sisters over 145 years ago through this momentous occasion."
The building space will be reconfigured to offer a small primary care facility on site to provide health care services to CHRISTUS Associates, and will be upgraded to include access to an on-site deli and fitness center as well.
The building location offers ease of access to two major airports and convenient access to mass transit. (DART light rail stations are under construction nearby, and will be operational near the end of 2012. When complete, the DART will provide access to downtown Dallas, Dallas Love Field airport, many attractive neighborhoods, and to DFW airport by the end of 2014.)
The building's location in Las Colinas also places it adjacent to apartments and a wide range of housing options nearby. In addition, it is located near numerous restaurants, hotels and shopping, some within walking distance.

Real estate services firm CBRE assisted CHRISTUS in the selection of the new system office location as well as the negotiation for the building.

The CBRE team included Vikram Kohli as leader on the city selection assignment. Phil Puckett and Michelle Donaldson served as the tenant representation leads. The landlord, Wells REIT, was also represented by CBRE through JJ Leonard and Burson Holman.
Virtually all CHRISTUS corporate Associates who now office out of the two CHRISTUS corporate offices in Houston and the corporate office in San Antonio, as well as those system Associates based at various other locations, have been asked to move to the Dallas area. Relocation assistance will be offered for all Associates who will be expected to move to the Dallas area.
In addition, the Associates currently based at the CHRISTUS Health headquarters in Irving will relocate to the new building as well.
CHRISTUS leaders anticipate that Associates will begin occupying One Macarthur Ridge by late summer of 2012 and that all Associates will be moved by no later than mid-2013.
