CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Alamo Heights (CSRH –AH) is pleased to announce it has been named a 2016 Guardian of Excellence Award® winner by Press Ganey. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing health care organizations that have consistently achieved the 95th percentile or above of performance in Patient Experience.
“We are humbled by this award,” said LaNell Scott, Chief Nursing Officer, CSRH –AH. “Quality care starts with our Hospital leaders, who not only communicate daily with our Associates and nurses, they go into the rooms of patients, too, to find out what can be done to make their experience a positive one. Even after patients are discharged, they can expect a thank-you note and a phone call from us, just to make sure we’ve provided them with the most compassionate and competent care.”
The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized symbol of achievement in health care. Presented annually, the award honors clients who consistently sustained performance in the top five percent of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year.
“I am honored our Hospital is counted among the best for patient experiences in the United States,” said Julie Seale, Administrator, CSRH – AH. Seale is frequently spotted in nurse’s scrubs, going floor to floor, talking with patients and their families.
“Our level of care begins with our staff and surgeons who take great pride in extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ,” Seale said. “We treat each patient as we would like to be treated.”
According to Seale, the award represents an important recognition from the industry’s leader in measuring, understanding, and improving the patient experience.
"We are proud to partner with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Alamo Heights,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of Press Ganey. “This award is a testament to the Hospital’s leadership in delivering patient-centered care.
