Our Approach

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition provides diagnosis and treatment of common gastrointestinal problems in children and adolescents. These include abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting and gastroesophageal reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, and weight problems. We also provide comprehensive care for more complex disorders including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, cyclic vomiting and motility disorders, short bowel syndrome and home nutrition support, pancreatic and biliary disorders, and metabolic disease affecting liver or intestine.

Our skilled professionals are dedicated to the care of children with gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatobiliary disorders. We are committed to the mission of the CHRISTUS Health system and The Children's Hospital of San Antonio where we will put our children first.
