CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels is home to area’s only electrophysiology program September 14, 2017

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels (CSRH—NB) welcomes Dr. Kishore Subnani, a cardiac electrophysiologist, to its cardiac team. The addition of Dr. Subnani helps bolster one of south central Texas’ most comprehensive cardiac programs and means that CSRH—NB doesn’t just perform open-heart surgeries, it can treat arrhythmia (abnormal heartbeats).

“We often forget the heart is an “electric” organ that keeps time like a clock,” said Dr. Subnani. “I’m excited about the opportunity to help those who have arrhythmia find ways to keep their heart rhythm in check and avoid a heart attack.”

Dr. Subnani specializes in implanting pacemakers, as well as other treatments including antiarrhythmic drugs and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs). He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He received his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean and completed his fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at NYU Langone Medical Center and his fellowship in Cardiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York.

“It is rare for a community of our size to have a specialized cardiologist like Dr. Subnani practicing here,” said Jim Wesson, FACHE, President, CSRH – NB. “And it means patients in our community and along the Interstate-35 corridor can now be fitted with pacemakers closer to home.”
