CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels Revises Visitor Policy
May 18, 2020
(New Braunfels, TX) – The health and safety of our patients, visitors, Associates and our communities remain the top priority at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System. Therefore, in line with the latest guidelines issued by Governor Greg Abbott and other state health officials related to COVID-19, we have revised our visitor policy. We thank the community for understanding and cooperation during this difficult time. Effective, Monday, May 18, 2020, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels has revised its visitor policy to allow one support person per patient.
The support person is defined as someone who is selected by the patient to stay with them during their stay, and is screened upon entry each day to ensure that they are healthy. To keep our patients, staff and community safe, we are limiting this role to just one person at this time.
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System is working tirelessly to ensure that we are doing best by all of our patients and ensure everyone has a safe and healing environment during their stay with us. We continue to screen everyone who comes into our facilities through designated entrances including physicians and Associates. All patients and visitors are also requested to bring their own masks to wear while in our hospitals and outpatient clinics, and our staff has been provided with the appropriate protection for their role and the patient’s needs.
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System continues to follow the CDC’s guidelines at all times, as well as guidance we receive from the Texas Health Department. While COVID-19 is a novel virus, our processes and procedures in place for infection prevention and preventing the spread of illness are not. We successfully practice infection prevention every day, and the safety and care of our physicians, Associates, patients and visitors are our top priority.
