SAN ANTONIO, TX — After a nationwide search, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System announced today Asha Rodriguez has been named president of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Westover Hills (CSRH—WH). Rodriguez is no stranger to the Hospital; she served as CSRH – WH’s assistant administrator in 2016, and was most recently the administrator of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Medical Center (CSRH—MC).

Rodriguez was recently named one of “Tomorrow’s Leaders” by Catholic Health Association, an award that recognizes up and coming young executives that not only demonstrate a strong commitment, but are also making a significant contribution to Catholic health ministries. At CSRH – MC. Rodriguez was part of a dyadmodel of leadership, serving as the Hospital’s administrator, alongside CSRH – MC’s president, Dr. Ian Thompson, Jr. She was responsible for ancillary operations, special projects, and facility planning. She has also served as CHRISTUS Health’s inaugural Executive Fellow, a post graduate fellowship program for experienced professionals on the executive path. Rodriguez came to San Antonio after spending 12 years in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, where she held several roles in patient advocacy, organization development and training, and employee labor relations with Washington Hospital Center, a large not-for-profit acute care teaching and research hospital with MedStar Health serving the District of Columbia.
She then worked as a service excellence performance improvement consultant for Inova Health a nationally-recognized, comprehensive health care network serving more than one million patients in the Northern Virginia area. Rodriguez graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management and from George Mason University with a Master of Business Administration degree. She is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the National Association of Health Services Executives. She has served as a member of ACHE’s Regent Advisory Council for the District of Columbia & Northern Virginia area.
