Updated August 27, 2020
(Shreveport, LA August 26, 2020) – We continue to closely monitor the progress of Hurricane Laura as it intensifies across the Gulf of Mexico, taking all necessary precautions to protect our patients, our Associates and physicians and secure our facilities. Hurricane Laura is expected to make landfall as a Category 4 hurricane at Southeast Texas / Southwest Louisiana late Wednesday/early Thursday morning. Weather predictions describe hurricane strength winds as far north as Coushatta and Mansfield. Here in SB, outer bands of the storm will begin late this evening bringing Tropical Storm strength winds with a high volume of sudden rainfall resulting in significant flash flooding.
