Lake Charles, Louisiana – CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana Health System and the members of the CHRISTUS Ochsner Southwestern Louisiana Foundation Board are pleased to announce Patricia Prudhomme has accepted the role of Executive Director of Development for the CHRISTUS Ochsner Southwestern Louisiana Foundation.
When her leadership duties begin on March 29, Patricia will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with supporters of CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana Health System to expand our healing ministry of Jesus Christ through the power of transformative philanthropy.
“We are pleased to welcome Patricia as the Foundation’s new leader,” said Missy Amidon, Chair, CHRISTUS Ochsner Southwestern Louisiana Foundation Board. “We are confident that through her knowledge of our community and region since 1998, she will be able to enhance our efforts to continue to raise philanthropic funding to help support our local hospital ministries.”
“A resident of the greater Lake Charles area for the past 23 years, Patricia has extensive experience working in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, and we know she will be able to assist us in helping southwestern Louisiana receive the quality health care it needs,” said Jim Davidson, President and Chief Operating Officer, CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana.
Patricia joins CHRISTUS Health after leadership roles with the SWLA Center of Health Services, American Heart Association and Banners at McNeese State University. She is a graduate of Emmanuel College and earned her Master’s Degree through NC A&T State University. She has been involved in numerous civic and professional organizations through the years including the Greater Lake Charles Rotary Club and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

As Patricia transitions into her new role; Kay Barnett is retiring from the post after 17 years of service to CHRISTUS Ochsner Southwestern Louisiana Foundation. Kay led a team that raised millions of dollars through the years for CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana.
“Through Kay’s leadership, collaborative partnerships were built with donors and industry across southwestern Louisiana that will continue to benefit our health system ministry for years to come,” said Paul Trevino, Chief Executive Officer, CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana and CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System. “We cannot thank Kay enough for her dedication to this community, region and our ministry. Associates, patients and friends of the health system wish her the very best in her retirement.”
