MRI

It’s clear—precision is important during diagnosis. Of all imaging technologies, MRI or Magnetic Resonance Imaging gives doctors the clearest, most precise image of the inside of the body. It’s sophisticated, and uses a strong magnetic field to show the structure and detail of organs, soft tissue and bones, which can pinpoint all types of issues from abnormalities to disease. CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital performs MRIs with your comfort in mind. Nervous about your test? Just speak to one of our staff.

CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital adds breakthrough MR scanner to boost image clarity, exam speed, and patient comfort The Philips Ingenia 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging system is the first-ever digital broadband MR system and allows us to offer patients and physicians:

Patient Comfort

This revolutionary machine is designed to quickly perform high-quality MR scans with a high level of patient comfort. Ingenia 1.5T can significantly reduce exam time and has a wide opening to accommodate patients of varying size, age, and physical condition. This makes Ingenia less confining than 60cm MR systems and a more attractive noninvasive imaging option for patients. In fact, most scans can be performed with the patient’s head entirely out of the opening, creating a better patient experience. The Ambient Experience package is another outstanding feature for patients, as they can select certain room lightening colors for a more soothing experience.

Exceptional Image Clarity

The Ingenia 1.5T incorporates a number of breakthrough technologies designed to deliver exceptional image clarity. It quickly provides radiologists and physicians with precise, detailed MR images needed to help confidently diagnose many different anatomical and structural problems in the body—including brain and nervous system disorders, cardiovascular disease, and organ disease.
