CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana Names Chief Operating Officer

Lake Charles, Louisiana – CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana proudly welcomes newly appointed Chief Operating Officer James “Jim” Davidson, MHA, FACHE, who will help guide the operation and grow the health system throughout Lake Charles and the surrounding region.
As the new COO, Davidson will have operational oversight of the health system, as well as work in collaboration with CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana leadership, physicians and community leaders to promote patient quality and growth for the system.
“Jim is a seasoned health care leader and has an excellent understanding of the health care landscape in this community, this region and across Louisiana,” said Kevin Holland, Chief Executive Officer, CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana. “In addition to his extensive experience, he has a real passion for patients and ensuring that people have access to the high-quality care they need.”
Davidson joins CHRISTUS Ochsner Health Southwestern Louisiana from his previous position as Chief Executive Officer of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russelville, Arkansas, where he has served since 2015. Davidson has served in a number of administrative and leadership positions throughout his career, including Vice President of Ancillary and Support Services, Director of Quality, and Associate Administrator. He is a graduate of the University of St. Francis in Illinois, where he earned both Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Healthcare Administration. Davidson is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on a number of professional, civic and community boards.
