CHRISTUS Spohn Welcomes Vice President of Mission Integration
June 02, 2016
CHRISTUS Spohn Health System is excited to welcome Stephen Kazanjian to the CHRISTUS Spohn family. He has assumed the role of Vice President of Mission Integration.
Stephen is responsible for safeguarding the ethics and integrity of CHRISTUS Spohn as a Catholic health care organization, and will be forming relationships with local faith leaders. Stephen will also be working to improve access to spiritual care to CHRISTUS Spohn Associates, patients and Coastal Bend residents.
He brings nearly 20 years of experience in spiritual care and guidance to CHRISTUS Spohn. Past roles have included mission leader, minister, educator, counselor and more. His most recent role was serving as Director of Mission and Pastoral Care for Bon Secours Health System in the Bronx, New York.
Stephen says he is very passionate about the health and wellness of CHRISTUS Spohn patients, visitors and Associates. “I hope to make an impact on all levels by making sure that our patients and Associates are happy, satisfied and nourished - spiritually, mentally and physically,” Kazanjian added.
Stephen, his wife Jennifer, and their four young children are new to South Texas. The Kazanjians have relocated from Dumont, in northern New Jersey, and are excited to be living near the beach. “I’m an outdoor person, I love playing sports, going to the beach, and taking my kids swimming,” Kazanjian added.
Stephen says he looks forward to the opportunity to care for the spiritual needs of the CHRISTUS Spohn patients, visitors and Associates the health system is privileged to serve.
