CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi – South Appoints LaNell Scott as President

Corpus Christi, TX – CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi – South is proud to announce that LaNell Scott has accepted the position of President. Scott took on the permanent role after serving as interim President at the hospital since December of 2020.
Scott has been a member of the CHRISTUS Health family for more than 20 years. Prior to coming to Corpus Christi, she was Chief Nursing Officer at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Alamo Heights in San Antonio for five years. Scott joined CHRISTUS Spohn in December 2019 as Vice President of Operations – Perioperative Services. She will continue to oversee Perioperative Services in the short term. Scott has been instrumental in the development and operation of five CHRISTUS Spohn Health System Perioperative Departments, including budgeting and business development.
“It’s a wonderful feeling to have started with CHRISTUS Health in 2000 as a staff RN and evolve into my current role,” Scott said. “I have been fortunate to utilize every opportunity to advance my career with CHRISTUS and am thankful they have always supported professional growth.”
Scott earned both a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is also a member of the Texas Nurses Association, Association of Perioperative Nursing and American College of Healthcare Executives.
