CHRISTUS St Vincent Receives a Four Star Rating From the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

CHRISTUS St. Vincent is proud to announce that it has earned a Four-Star rating for overall hospital quality from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Only six out of the 42 hospitals in New Mexico have a Four-star rating. CHRISTUS St. Vincent is the only full-service, comprehensive trauma hospital in Northern New Mexico to receive four stars. It is the highest CMS star rating that CHRISTUS St. Vincent has achieved.

Hope Wade Named Chief Operating Officer For CHRISTUS St. Vincent

CHRISTUS St. Vincent is pleased to announce that Hope Wade has been selected as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer. Wade, who has served as the health system’s Chief Financial officer since July of 2017, brings more than 23 years of extensive health care management experience to the role, including experience in financial planning, decision support and operational strategy, as well as budget and capital planning processes.

Jennifer Castaneda-Lovato has been a nurse for 20 years, 16 of them in pediatrics.
“You see a lot,” she said recently. “There’s a whole lot involved in being a nurse.”
One type of case left her uneasy, she said. With one of the highest rates of opioid addiction in the nation, New Mexico hospitals see thousands of children born each year to addicted mothers.

For longtime Santa Fe residents, the Christus in the name of St. Vincent Regional Medical Center can be somewhat of an afterthought.

The free-standing emergency department built by Christus St. Vincent in Santa Fe this year treated its first patient at 7:17 a.m. Friday, the health care provider announced.
