CHRISTUS St. Vincent Names New Chief Financial Officer, Clinician Group President, and Vice President of Compliance October 22, 2019

Santa Fe, N.M. – CHRISTUS St. Vincent recently named three new members of its executive leadership team.

Reuben Murray, CPA

Reuben Murray, CPA, was recently named Chief Financial Officer of CHRISTUS St. Vincent.

Prior to joining CHRISTUS St. Vincent, Murray worked in the Lovelace Health System for 10 years. At Lovelace, Murray held roles of progressively greater responsibility, beginning as Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital Controller and culminating in his last 4 years as CFO of Lovelace Medical Center, which included the Heart Hospital of New Mexico. While there, he was twice recognized as CFO of the Year for Ardent Health Services.

Murray is a Certified Public Accountant who also earned an MA in Organizational Management and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, both from University of New Mexico. Prior to his professional healthcare career, he worked as Controller for Pulte Homes of New Mexico, as a Fraud Specialist for America Online, and, much earlier, as Executive Director of Musical Theatre Southwest.

Lance Wilson, M.D.

Lance Wilson, M.D. has been named President of the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Clinician Group.

As President of the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Clinician Group, Dr. Wilson will lead nearly 200 clinicians and Associates who provide patient care and services within the group’s 41 outpatient clinics. These clinics average more than 450,000 visits annually.

Dr. Wilson is a resident of Santa Fe with long roots in New Mexico. He is a University of New Mexico alum, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree, a Doctor of Medicine at the School of Medicine, and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency.

Prior to joining CHRISTUS St. Vincent, Dr. Wilson was most recently with the DaVita Medical Group in Albuquerque where he served as Chief Medical Officer of its multi-specialty medical group. He previously worked with Presbyterian Healthcare Services, ABQ Health Partners, Sandoval Regional Medical Center and Lovelace Medical Center.

Dr. Wilson brings a wealth of knowledge in managing a multi-specialty medical group, including quality improvement, utilization management and case and disease management.

Jennifer Gomez

As Vice President of Compliance, Jennifer Gomez will oversee CHRISTUS St. Vincent’s efforts to ensure it is in full compliance with all state and national laws and regulations that pertain to the delivery of care and services to patients, their families and the community. This includes ensuring compliance with professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal policies and procedures.

Prior to joining CHRISTUS St. Vincent, Gomez served as Director of Corporate Responsibility for Centura Health in Centennial, CO. She served in progressively larger roles during her nine years with Centura.

Gomez previously worked for Central Georgia Health System and is a native of Georgia where she earned an MS in Health Care Policy and Administration and a BA in Business Administration. Gomez is certified in Healthcare Compliance, and was previously certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security and as an IS Security Professional.
