Earl Potter's youngest son Cody was born at St Vincent's Hospital on Palace Avenue in 1971. He and his wife Deborah have participated in the creation of the Legal Aid Society of Santa Fe (1971) (now part of New Mexico Legal Services), Santa Fe County's first Land Development Code (1979), Potter & Mills Law Firm (1980-2003), Eldorado Hotel (1986), Hotel Santa Fe - the nation's first hotel joint venture with a Native American Corporation, Five & Dime General Stores (starting in the Woolworth's space on the Plaza in 1997, now 7 stores in 5 states), and the Santa Fe Plaza Community Stage (2004).

Potter joined the Board in 2011, and is honored to participate in the creation of a world-class medical center serving all of us in Northern New Mexico.
