Plastic Surgery Services
Plastic surgeons perform cosmetic surgery to improve appearance, and reconstructive surgery to restore the form and function that has been lost through disease, accident or birth defect. Plastic surgery involves a thorough knowledge of the whole body, skin and underlying tissues along with their separate and combined healing processes.
Breast implants, breast augmentation, and breast enlargement surgery are incredibly popular. Last year, over 300,000 women had their breasts enlarged to complement their figure or to fill redundant skin after having had children. Over the decades, augmentation procedures have been refined, many different types of implants have been developed, and both the operations and implants themselves are safer than ever.
Breast Reduction Surgery
Breast reduction surgery is a popular procedure, because it can help people who have been suffering from the neck and back pain associated with overly large breasts. After having this procedure, many of our patients express their regret of not doing it years previously.
An expert face lift can deliver the largest amount of desired change in good candidates, which is why it’s often referred to as the “Gold Standard” of facial rejuvenation, the highest standard to which all other procedures are compared. The improvements are substantial, and they typically can last in the range of 8–10 years.
Blepharoplasty is a very common aesthetic surgical procedure for men as well as women. As we age, excess skin can form around our eyes, causing us to look older, tired, wrinkled or puffy.
Our skin loses elasticity and previously tight tissues can begin to droop. This can lead to wrinkled lines across the forehead, to frown lines between the eyebrows and to sagging eyebrows that can hood the upper eyelid. A brow lift can correct this.
As we age, we lose facial fat. In the area of the face referred to as the mid-face—the cheeks and the region just beneath the lower eyelids—furrows can develop and the cheek tissue can become lax and appear irregular. In addition, the nasolabial folds, the crease going from the nose down to the corner of the mouth, can become quite deep. In this case we can consider doing a cheek or a “mid-face lift,” a procedure designed to elevate the cheeks.
The more times a plastic surgeon performs a particular procedure, the better we get at it. We’ve performed hundreds of neck and facelifts, and one refinement we’ve made to neck lift procedures is very effective.
Liposuction can be a very effective contouring technique for people who have stubborn fat accumulations in areas including the upper and lower abdomen, flanks, outer thighs, hips, inner knees, on the back and around the chin. Liposuction is a body sculpting procedure, it’s not for weight loss. This procedure is ideal for someone with a healthy lifestyle and a stable weight.
A Tummy Tuck or Abdominoplasty is a procedure that improves abdominal contours. It involves tightening the supportive tissues of the abdominal wall and removing excess skin and fat. This may be considered by individuals that have had considerable weight loss, liposuction or have stretching of the abdominal tissues due to bearing children. Patients intending to lose weight or plan future pregnancies may consider postponing the procedure.
Sometimes called “ear surgery” or “ear pinning,” otoplasty is a procedure to reshape and/or reposition prominent or protruding ears.
Cosmetic chin surgery reshapes the chin relative to the rest of the face. Chin enhancement can include bone cutting, but is more often accomplished with facial implants.
