Patient Safety in Spring 2019 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade

 The Leapfrog Group, a Washington D.C-based organization aiming to improve health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers, today released the new Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades. CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Tyler was one of the nation’s elite hospitals awarded an ‘A’ for its efforts in protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest safety standards in the U.S. for the fifth year in a row.

Tyler Opens Expanded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

The new NICU includes a host of new technology and features which include private patient rooms (28 total) with advanced light and sound control systems to create a more soothing environment. There are new overnight accommodations for parents, as well as double-capacity private rooms will allow twins to stay together.

Sulphur Springs Investing in Education and Training to Reduce Maternal Deaths

 CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Sulphur Springs joins more than 200 Texas hospitals to reduce pregnancy-related deaths and complications through the TexasAIM program. Hospitals statewide are coming together to reduce the number of deaths due to obstetric hemorrhage, one of the most common causes of death and injury in the days immediately after pregnancy.

CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Neuroscience Institute Pain Center Celebrates Jacksonville Expansion

The CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Neuroscience Institute Pain Center officially opened its new expansion at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Jacksonville during a recently held blessing ceremony. Patients, hospital administrators, community leaders, Associates and pastoral care staff joined physicians, nurses and their team during the grand opening celebration.

CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Announces Canton Emergency Room Expansion

The new facility will encompass 7,650 square feet and serve as a full-scale emergency department and be located onsite at the HealthPark, conveniently located just off of Interstate 20 near the exit for Edgewood Road. It will also feature six exam rooms, one trauma room, a full-service imaging center including advanced imaging services and a laboratory for easier access to test results.
