Today is the beginning of your health for tomorrow

With the arrival of the highly anticipated COVID-19 vaccine, there is a lot of information to take in and process. We know you and your family may have questions about the vaccine and other COVID-related concerns, which is why CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic wants you to know we are right there with you every step of the way. Today is the beginning of your health for tomorrow.

COVID-19 Safety

The safety of our patients, Associates and physicians is our top priority. That’s why we successfully practice infection prevention every day. To keep all who enter our facilities safe during COVID-19 we have added the following precautions:

  • Limiting visitors
  • Screening everyone who comes through our doors
  • Isolating COVID-19 patients to one area of the facility
  • Temperature checks for all Associates and visitors
  • Requiring everyone on our campuses to wear masks
  • Using telemedicine to treat active COVID-19 patients, so their caregivers and support staff limit the number of times they enter their rooms

We’re in this Together

This may be an unprecedented time, but we have experienced many of these since CHRISTUS was founded 154 years ago. In fact, the first three Sisters who started our ministry in Galveston faced an epidemic of Yellow Fever within the first six months of opening the very first hospital.

Epidemics and tragedies have been part of our history, and so too has the resolve, after each of those challenges, to move on in love and service to those in need. We stand today in a rich history that gives us confidence that, with God’s help, we can do the same.

We are answering the call to help our community – today and tomorrow. In all that we do, we are devoted to keeping you, your families, our caregivers and our Associates safe. And we are here when you need care. We are ready.

Emergency Care

Emergency Care

While COVID-19 is new, our processes and procedures in place for infection prevention and preventing the spread of illness are not. CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances' Emergency Departments are equipped to safely provide care for life-threatening illness and injury – and seeking that care is essential. Do not postpone seeking care if you are urgently ill.  Go to the Emergency Department or call 9-1-1

Spiritual Care

Our Spiritual Care Teams are committed to supporting the spiritual well-being of our patients and their friends and family, our staff and the community. This is true especially during times of illness and hospitalization. We serve all patients and families regardless of faith or affiliation.

Wear a Mask

Universal Masking

Universal Masking Still in Place at all CHRISTUS Facilities

We are glad to see that the CDC continues to update its guidance about COVID-19 vaccines as more research and information become available. This week, that included guidance for fully vaccinated people (over two weeks after their final vaccine dose) who now no longer need masks indoors or outdoors in most cases.

However, this guidance does not apply to health care settings, so we will continue to require all those in our hospitals, clinics, ambulatory surgery centers and other locations where care is provided to remain masked. As these locations remain open to the public, and as we will continue treating all those who need us, including those with COVID-19 and those without, it’s important that we ask our Associates, physicians, volunteers, patients and visitors to remain masked while in our facilities for now.
