Since 2004, the CHRISTUS Health - Mount Pleasant Foundation has played a vital role in strengthening healthcare in Titus County and the surrounding communities. As the charitable arm of CHRISTUS Health in Mount Pleasant, the Foundation was created to connect the hospital's needs with the generosity of local individuals, families, and businesses. Together, we are building a healthier future for Northeast Texas through long-term investments in care, compassion, and community.
Our Mission
The CHRISTUS Health - Mount Pleasant Foundation is dedicated to strengthening healthcare in Titus County and the surrounding communities by supporting patient care, advancing local medical services, and promoting wellness for all. In alignment with its founding mission, the Foundation also supports educational programs in medicine, nursing, and related fields to enhance the future of healthcare in our region. Rooted in rural East Texas, we invest in people, programs, and partnerships that ensure access to compassionate, high-quality care close to home.
Our Impact
Because of the generosity of our supporters, the Foundation has helped bring major improvements to CHRISTUS Health in Mount Pleasant. These include the creation of the Patty and Bo Pilgrim Cancer Center, renovations to the Women and Children’s Unit, the Labor and Delivery Wing, and the Surgical Waiting Area, as well as upgrades to the Orthopedic Floor.
The Foundation supports programs like the Martha Edwards Floral Endowment Fund, which provides weekly flower deliveries to patients in need.
Current projects include a full renovation of the hospital’s Pediatric Unit. Every donation has helped us transform care, modernize facilities, and ensure patients receive the support they need in a safe, healing environment.
