CHRISTUS Health celebrates 20th anniversary in Lindale

CHRISTUS Health is proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its Lindale health facility, marking two decades of expanding access to high-quality, compassionate care for the surrounding community.

A celebration on Wednesday recognized the accomplishments and the growth of one of the health system’s initial expansion projects outside of Tyler.

CHRISTUS Lindale began as an outpatient clinic in 2005 and has grown into a comprehensive, multi-specialty facility, now including full emergency services, designed to ensure patients receive the care they need close to home.

“I don’t know if any of us could have seen how much this facility has grown and how successful it has been,” said Dr. Russell Bell, who has seen patients at CHRISTUS Lindale since 2006. “We know patients do not want to travel, and we’ve been able to greatly expand the services we provide to meet that need. The last 20 years have really shown we have accomplished what we set out to do.”

Over the past two decades, CHRISTUS Health Lindale has evolved from offering a handful of clinical services to housing a wide range of specialties, including primary care, cardiology, orthopedics, medical weight loss, pediatrics, advanced imaging and more.

This growth reflects CHRISTUS Health’s ongoing commitment to meet community needs while reducing the burden of long-distance travel for routine and specialized care.

A major milestone in the facility’s development was the 2021 addition of a fully staffed emergency department, providing immediate, life-saving care for patients throughout the region. With this enhancement, residents can now access urgent and emergency services locally, ensuring faster response times and improved patient outcomes.

“Opening this facility was really a pioneering time for us and our expansion of the ministry,” said Chris Glenney, vice president for group operations of CHRISTUS Health in Northeast Texas. “Today we continue to open facilities like this all over the region and the last 20 years here in Lindale has given us a blueprint for we believe is the best way to provide affordable and accessible care.”
