CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System is proud to welcome Jason Miller as the new vice president of hospital operations for the St. Elizabeth campus.

The leadership role is focused on advancing operational excellence and patient outcomes.

“I’m most excited about the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both patient outcomes and staff experience,” Miller said. “As vice president of hospital operations, I see this role as a chance to drive innovation, streamline processes and foster a culture of collaboration across departments.”

Miller said his decision to join CHRISTUS Health was influenced by the organization’s faith-based mission and values.

“I chose CHRISTUS Health because its mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ resonates deeply with both my personal values and professional purpose,” he said. “In a world where health care can sometimes feel transactional, CHRISTUS stands out for its commitment to compassionate care across each community we serve.”

Within his first six months, Miller plans to evaluate current patient flow processes and work with hospital leaders and Associates to gain insight on how to create sustainable improvements. He said addressing a patient’s length of stay will be a key priority for him.

“There are already strong metrics in place, but we’ll be expanding those to include daily, data-driven indicators to help us continuously monitor and improve our strategies,” Miller said. “This work is essential to ensure timely care transitions, reducing emergency room holds and ultimately improving the patient experience.”

Family is where he said he draws his energy, values and sense of purpose.

“Family is my foundation,” Miller said. “My beautiful wife, Candice, and I are raising our family in this community, and it’s a privilege to join a team providing excellent health care close to our home.”
