CHRISTUS Health now providing daily, in-house pediatric coverage in Southeast Texas

CHRISTUS Health is now providing in-house pediatric coverage for Southeast Texas, ensuring the community’s youngest patients have access to excellent, immediate pediatric care.

The pediatric team will provide comprehensive medical care for CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth’s newborns and admitted pediatric patients, ensuring timely evaluations, continuity of care and a reassuring presence for both patients and families. As part of this expansion of care in Southeast Texas, local pediatrician Dr. Jorge Black has partnered with CHRISTUS Health.

“I’m thrilled to now be a part of the CHRISTUS team to provide this service for our patients,” Black said. “Having pediatric coverage available in-house every day of the week means our youngest patients receive immediate, expert attention without delay. It’s a major benefit for families who trust us to provide care to their children.”

The expanded service is overseen by a local pediatrician and two pediatric nurse practitioners, seven days a week.
