Our vaccine hubs are free, and insurance will not be billed for vaccines administered at the Vaccine Hub Clinic.

If you have questions about your personal health concerns or history and how that might be impacted by vaccination, we encourage you to talk with your primary care provider, who knows your conditions and your history and can advise you personally. Questions about the COVID-19 Vaccine?

COVID-19 Safety

We are aware of the new order announced by Texas Governor Greg Abbott that would lift the statewide masking mandate for many establishments on March 10. However, that will not apply to our CHRISTUS facilities. We will continue to require masks for those visiting, working or receiving care in any of our CHRISTUS facilities, per CDC guidelines, as well as hand hygiene and social distancing where possible.

The safety of our patients, Associates and physicians is our top priority. That’s why we successfully practice infection prevention every day. To keep all who enter our facilities safe during COVID-19 we have added the following precautions:

  • Limiting visitors
  • Screening everyone who comes through our doors
  • Temperature checks for Associates;
  • Requiring everyone on our campuses to wear masks
  • Using virtual care to treat active COVID-19 patients, so their caregivers and support staff limit the number of times they enter their rooms

We’re in this together

This may be an unprecedented time, but we have experienced many of these since CHRISTUS was founded 154 years ago. In fact, the first three Sisters who started our ministry in Galveston faced an epidemic of Yellow Fever within the first six months of opening the very first hospital.

Epidemics and tragedies have been part of our history, and so too has the resolve, after each of those challenges, to move on in love and service to those in need. We stand today in a rich history that gives us confidence that, with God’s help, we can do the same.

We are answering the call to help our community – today and tomorrow. In all that we do, we are devoted to keeping you, your families, our caregivers and our Associates safe. And we are here when you need care. We are ready.

Emergency Care

Emergency Care

While COVID-19 is new, our processes and procedures in place for infection prevention and preventing the spread of illness are not. CHRISTUS Health's Emergency Departments are equipped to safely provide care for life-threatening illness and injury – and seeking that care is essential. Do not postpone seeking care if you are urgently ill.  Go to the Emergency Department or call 9-1-1.

Wear a Mask

Universal Masking

The health and safety of our patients, visitors and clinicians remains a top priority. Visitors are required to wear a mask that covers both the nose and mouth. Visitors are responsible for acquiring their own masks (cloth masks are allowed).
