Dr. Merritt received her medical degree from and completed her residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Merritt joined Children first Pediatrics after completing her residency in 2009. She is a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Merritt is an active member of several community groups including the Bexar County Medical Society, Texas Medical Society, and the San Antonio Pediatric Society. In her time away from the office, you will find her on the tennis court. She is captain of her women’s 5.0 team which has advanced to the state sectional playoffs for the past three years and made it to the finals this past year.
