Dr. Abdl-Rawf Al-Nowaylati is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He received his MD degree from the University of Jordan in 2010. He began his general surgery training at the University of Rochester before moving to San Francisco to complete his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of California San Francisco. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in microsurgery at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Al-Nowaylati’s practice includes a full scope of plastic and reconstructive surgery, focusing on breast reconstruction, including both implant-based reconstruction and autologous breast reconstruction using advanced microsurgical techniques. His practice also includes body contouring after weight loss, as well as skin cancer reconstruction. He has continued to participate in outcomes research and has published work on simultaneous co-surgeon Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator (DIEP) flap breast reconstruction, evaluating feasibility and clinical outcomes, as well as on the future applications of 3-dimensional printed virtual surgical planning in microsurgery.
