Meet Alexander Kreines, DO
Alexander Kreines, DO, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and advanced surgical techniques for the shoulder, knee, and hip. He completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at Rowan University/Jefferson Health, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Kreines further advanced his expertise through a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine’s Burkhart Research Institute for Orthopaedics.
With extensive experience treating athletes at all levels, Dr. Kreines has provided team coverage for organizations including Texas A&M Football, Houston SaberCats, and the San Antonio Missions. His clinical interests include arthroscopic procedures, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and complex shoulder surgeries.
Dr. Kreines is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed to leading orthopedic textbooks. Recognized for his excellence, he was named a Top Doctor in San Antonio in 2022.
Dr. Krienes currently practices at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in San Antonio, TX.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Kreines is passionate about advancing sports medicine and helping patients return to peak performance.
