She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing with nurse-midwifery certification from the University of New Mexico — graduating with honors — and is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. With more than 14 years of clinical experience focused on labor and delivery, prenatal care, and women's health, Anna has built her career caring for patients across Northern New Mexico, including prior experience serving communities in Taos and Las Vegas, NM.

Anna Heusner serves as a Certified Nurse-Midwife at CHRISTUS Health Women's Care Specialists in Santa Fe, where she provides care across the full spectrum of women's health — from adolescence through midlife. Her training and clinical scope as a CNM include pregnancy care, labor and delivery management, postpartum support, and ongoing gynecologic care. She works within the obstetrics and gynecology team, collaborating closely with physicians and specialists to ensure that patients have access to the right level of care at every stage.
