Very good communication skills
My nerves kicked in and I was much more flustered than usual. I was thrilled with the entire experience, esp Dr V's friendly nature, patience and thoroughness. Sadly, I must say that our exit was confusing. Carla wasn't the best at clearly providing info on our next steps, nor clarifying follow-up questions. We were given a postcard with dates, depts, and providers we'll see shortly, but not too much information beyond that. I'm truly sorry to say all this, and maybe it wasn't a 'usual' day, but just a 'teachable moment'
Dr. voltura is an exceptional surgeon. She is most kind and considerate of any questions or concerns that I have.
I just hope she can feel settled and secure enough with her new practice manager to be able to stay where she is for the rest of her career! I can only imagine how disruptive her multiple moves over the last few have been for her. I also hope practice conditions will improve for all NM medical practitioners in the next few years so NM can hang on to an adequate supply of well-qualified doctors and nurses for the population!
