Meet Ashley Strickland, FNP-C

Ashley Strickland, FNP-C, completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Northwestern State University in 2014, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in family nurse practitioner from Herzing University in 2023. Beginning her career as a Registered Nurse in the emergency department at Cabrini, she was honored as Rookie Nurse of the Year during her first year, an achievement she holds in high regard to this day. This recognition fueled her passion for health care and prompted her to pursue advanced clinical skills and education.

Ashley achieved board certification as a family nurse practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2023 and remains an active member of this organization, as well as the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her care philosophy centers around patient and family involvement in decision-making, which she believes is essential for fostering and sustaining trusting relationships with her patients.

Outside of her professional life, Ashley cherishes spending quality time with her family. Married for 15 years to her husband, who has served in the fire service for 2 decades, they are proud parents of 2 daughters. Their family enjoys outdoor activities, particularly spending summers on Toledo Bend Lake.
