Meet Bradley Kapten, MD
Dr. Bradley Kapten is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in Longview, TX. With a strong foundation in internal medicine and a subspecialty focus on inflammatory bowel disease, Dr. Kapten brings a comprehensive and compassionate approach to patient care.
He earned his Doctor of Medicine from UT San Antonio School of Medicine and completed his postgraduate training, including an Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Residency at UT Tyler Health Science Center, followed by an IBD Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center.
Dr. Kapten is an accomplished researcher and published author in peer-reviewed journals, with notable contributions on topics such as Budd-Chiari Syndrome, antibiotic stewardship, and thrombolytic therapy. He has presented at national conferences, including the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians, earning recognition for his work in quality improvement and clinical innovation.
In addition to his clinical and academic pursuits, Dr. Kapten serves as a journal reviewer for Clinical and Translational Gastroenterology and has held leadership roles such as Chief Resident and Founding President of the “Talk With A Doc” youth mentoring initiative. He is an active member of professional societies, including the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
