Meet Cesar Santiago, MD
Cesar Santiago, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in San Marcos, Texas. Specializing in conditions such as colon and rectal cancer, polyps, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hemorrhoids, and pelvic floor disorders, Dr. Santiago uses advanced robotic surgery to offer patients less invasive options with faster recovery and better outcomes.
With a reputation for excellence in minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Santiago was named an Epicenter by Intuitive Surgical, where surgeons from around the world come to learn his techniques. He is also a sought-after lecturer in robotic surgery.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Santiago earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his medical degree at the Ponce School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Miami. Before joining CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, he held leadership roles, including Medical Director of the Center for Advanced Robotic Surgery in Tampa.
