CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic board-eligible non-surgical sports medicine clinician David Cavaness, D.O., is committed to providing compassionate, service-oriented, and comprehensive care to athletes of all ages and abilities. His area of expertise includes non-operative orthopedic care, joint and soft tissue injections, sports-related concussion management, non-operative fracture management, ultrasound-guided injections, and pediatric sports medicine.

With each of his patients, Dr. Cavaness is focused on “doing the right thing” by “educating them on all different treatment modalities. Dr. Cavaness finds his greatest joy and purpose in educating and helping his patients return to the activities they love. Dr. Cavaness is a member of several organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine. Dr. Cavaness enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and playing basketball in his free time.
