David Walden, MD
Meet David Walden, MD
David Walden, MD, is a compassionate, dedicated family medicine clinician at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in San Marcos, TX. Whether it’s newborns, adolescents, or adult patients, Dr. Walden cares for the health of his patients in any phase of life.
His reason for becoming a medical doctor is because of his own family members’ struggles with their health. When he witnessed his mom’s multiple battles with cancer and his grandparents’ decline due to Alzheimer’s, he knew he had a calling for healing.
Dr. Walden earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, OK, where he attended on a music scholarship to play bassoon. He went on to complete his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, and his residency with the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program. His patient approach is to meet his patients where they are at, which means talking through each patient’s goals, and providing guidance as if they were a friend or dear family member. As a family medicine clinician, Dr. Walden delivers comprehensive care, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, men’s health, weight loss/obesity management, minor procedures, like toenail removal, and chronic illness management.
In his time off, you can find him cooking, listening to jazz music, spending time with his wife, Dr. Sara Stubbs-Walden or playing with his 3 cats (one of which has 25 toes). Fun fact: He met his wife while dissecting brains in medical school.
