Dr. Vazquez-Santos was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised in the nearby town of Carolina.Throughout high school and college she spent her free time volunteering at hospitals and around her community. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Puerto Rico and earned her medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Vazquez-Santos completed her residency in family medicine from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus. Dr. Vazquez-Santos is a board certified physician. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

"My parents taught me the great satisfaction that comes from serving others. Through the example of people like my mother, an elementary school social worker, I learned to be sensitive to the needs of others and the community that surrounds us. Empathy, sensitivity and a commitment to life-long learning are the attributes that I value most in a family physician; these are qualities that I wish to continue to develop in my family medicine practice. I believe my family medicine training has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide high quality health care to people from all ages and backgrounds.

My education, training, and life experiences have helped me obtain the skills and aptitudes necessary for the practice of medicine. I am a respectful, compassionate, hardworking and driven family physician. As I begin the next stage of my career, I hope to continue to build upon my medical knowledge, professionalism and interpersonal skills. I enthusiastically look forward to working with a community and service oriented Health Group that through prevention, accurate diagnosis and management of disease make a positive and significant impact on the community we serve."
