Meet German Almonte Hidalgo, MD
German Almonte, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, specializing in general and advanced laparoscopic surgery. With expertise in minimally invasive techniques, he focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the skin, gastrointestinal tract, and breast. His approach prioritizes early detection, accurate diagnosis, and comprehensive treatment plans to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Dr. Almonte earned his Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo before completing his General Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Health at San Antonio. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). With a deep understanding of advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures, he offers patients the most effective, least invasive treatment options possible.
Fluent in English and Spanish, he provides care for patients ages 16 and up, ensuring they feel informed, comfortable, and empowered throughout their surgical journey
