James Connaughton, MD, is a dual board-certified general and colon and rectal surgeon who provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals 16 years and older. He specializes in minimally invasive colorectal cancer surgery, as well as surgical management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and diverticular disease.
Dr. Connaughton earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
In his spare time, Dr. Connaughton enjoys golfing and spending time outdoors.
