Dr. Menard is a recognized voice in medical literature, serving on the editorial board for the journal Evidence-Based Practice (EBP). His research focuses on improving the lives of people with chronic respiratory conditions; notably, he participated in the "COPD-SMART" trial, which used physical activity self-management interventions to empower patients and reduce disability. His work often explores how health literacy and physician-patient communication can bridge the gap in managing metabolic syndrome.
Commitment to Public Health and Health Equity
Driven by a service-oriented "why," Dr. Menard famously assisted local doctors in providing critical medical aid to evacuees of Hurricane Ike in 2008.
