Dr. DeLee co-editor of the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and specializes in surgery of the knee and hip. After residency, he completed a total joint replacement fellowship with Sir John Charnley in Wrightington, England, whose hip replacement method remains internationally acclaimed.

Dr. DeLee is an international speaker, has authored numerous studies published in prominent medical journals, and has received prestigious medical awards. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

In 2020, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine awarded Dr. DeLee the Thomas Brady Award.
