Meet Jessica Dean, APRN, CNM, WHNP-BC

Jessica Dean, MS, APRN, CNM, WHNP-BC, is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at CHRISTUS Children’s Center for Women’s Health, where she provides compassionate, patient-centered care for women throughout every stage of life. Her approach is rooted in listening, education and partnership, helping patients feel informed, respected and empowered to make decisions about their health and well-being.

Jessica’s passion for women’s health began at the bedside, caring for women and families through pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum recovery and the newborn period. Those experiences inspired her to become a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and reinforced her belief that exceptional care goes beyond treating a condition. She is committed to caring for the whole person and creating meaningful relationships with the women and families she serves.

She considers it a privilege to support patients during some of life’s most important milestones, whether guiding an expectant mother through pregnancy and childbirth, providing preventive women’s health services or offering education and reassurance during times of uncertainty. Jessica’s goal is for every patient to leave feeling heard, understood and confident in their healthcare decisions.

Jessica’s clinical interests include prenatal care, labor and birth, postpartum care, contraception and family planning, preventive women’s health and patient education. She has a special passion for helping women better understand their bodies and health, empowering them to take an active role in their care. By fostering a welcoming and trusting environment, she encourages open communication and shared decision-making between patients and their healthcare team

As a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, Jessica is dedicated to delivering evidence-based care that supports healthy outcomes for women and their families.

She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) and serves as a Faculty Clinician.
