Dr. John McLain is a board-certified general surgeon dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care through advanced surgical techniques at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in San Marcos, TX. With a strong focus on minimally invasive approaches—including laparoscopy and robotic-assisted surgery—Dr. McLain brings precision, innovation, and a commitment to healing to every procedure.

He earned his medical degree from Wright State University, followed by a rigorous general surgery residency and research fellowship at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of surgical services, including:
