Meet Joseph Axelrod, MD

Dr. Joseph Axelrod, MD, is a highly skilled and decorated OB/GYN with more than 20 years of experience in high-risk obstetrics and full-scope gynecology. He received his Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology and a minor in Art History from the University of Illinois. Dr. Axelrod obtained his medical degree from Rush University College of Medicine and completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Axelrod has been recognized for his excellence in the field, receiving the Top OB/GYN of 2007 award by Chicago Consumers' Checkbook and the Top Surgeon Award, along with a Blue Ribbon for his presentation of research on excellence in laparoscopy at Duke University Medical Residency Program. Semi-fluent in Spanish, Dr. Axelrod is dedicated to providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population.

In his free time, Dr. Axelrod enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in physical activities such as skiing, hiking, and cycling. He also has a passion for writing, art, and smoking meat, which allows him to combine his creative and culinary interests.

He gave me his diagnosis and told me the 3 possible remedies. First I was stunned, not expecting the diagnosis I couldn't think of questions I should ask. His explanation was curt not helping me understand what might be best for me?
