Meet Juanita Garces, MD
Dr. Juanita Garces is a highly skilled, board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in spinal deformity and minimally invasive spine surgery. She is dedicated to helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and restore their quality of life through advanced, individualized care. Her surgical expertise includes adult spinal deformity and scoliosis correction, brain and spine tumors, traumatic injuries, and peripheral nerve surgeries such as carpal and cubital tunnel release. Known for her compassionate bedside manner, Dr. Garces takes time to listen to each patient and guide them through every step of their treatment journey.
Dr. Garces completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin, followed by medical school at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She went on to complete her neurosurgery residency at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans and an advanced fellowship in complex spine and deformity surgery at the University of Virginia.
Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Garces is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is proud to serve patients in her home state, providing expert neurosurgical care with compassion and integrity. Outside of medicine, Dr. Garces enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, Sam and Carina.
