Meet Kirsten Krause, PA-C

As an advance practice provider specializing in orthopedic surgery, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and earned my Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. My training and career path have deepened my appreciation for the culture and communities of West Texas and New Mexico, regions that hold a special place in my heart.

I began my career in orthopedic surgery in Savannah, Georgia, where I gained valuable experience in both surgical and clinical settings, while caring for historically underserved populations.. My journey then took me to Honolulu, Hawaii, where I continued my practice while accompanying my husband during his service as an Army Apache helicopter pilot. Now settled in Santa Fe, I am grateful to be part of a community whose values of health, compassion, and community align with my own.
Outside of work, I am an avid participant in triathlon (running, cycling and swimming), including iron-distance events. I also have a passion for restoring historic homes, and hold a deep appreciation for art and architecture.

Service and giving back to others are important to me. My favorite volunteer activities have included building bicycles for underprivileged children, respite care for developmentally delayed children, and founding a 5K running event to benefit underserved west Texas VA hospital patients. These experiences have reinforced my belief in supporting both individual wellness and the health of the broader community.

It is my privilege to serve the people of Santa Fe, and I look forward to building lasting relationships with patients as we work together toward their health and mobility goals.
