Meet Kristine Banks Dahl, MD
Dr. Kristine Banks Dahl is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in sports medicine, serving patients in Mid County at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic. With over a decade of experience, she is known for her expertise in treating musculoskeletal injuries and her commitment to helping patients return to active, healthy lives.
Dr. Banks Dahl completed her fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute–Lemak in Birmingham, Alabama. She earned her medical degree from the Medical University of Ohio and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Texas–Houston, where she served as Chief Resident.

- Injury prevention in sports
- Patient recovery and rehabilitation
Dr. Banks Dahl takes a patient-centered approach to care, emphasizing shared decision-making and open communication.
“I like to get the patients' opinions and thoughts. I explain the problem and typical treatment approaches. Each patient has their own experiences and background that contribute to how they want to be treated and proceed. I am patient decision driven. I can give them my recommendations, but I allow them to consider all options and make the best decision for them.”
Dr. Banks Dahl holds leadership roles in surgical and joint replacement committees and serves as a team physician for local high schools. She is a member of AAOS and other professional organizations.
Dr. Banks Dahl has also received multiple honors, including the Texas Monthly Super Doctors Rising Stars award and the Beaumont Mid-County Readers' Choice Award for Orthopedic Surgeon. She has contributed to orthopedic research and participated in advanced surgical training courses across the country.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Banks Dahl enjoys spending time with her four dogs and family, painting, running and working out, and traveling.
